Congress for healthcare workers set this October

HOHS Congress 2017 speakers and organizers


The 5th Hospital Occupational Health Safety (HOHS) Congress is set to be conducted this coming October 18-19 at Acacia Hotel, Manila.

Organized by the Section of Occupational and Environment Medicine Department of Family Medicine of the Perpetual Help Medical Center- Binan, the two-day congress aims to strengthen alliances with multisectoral agencies.

This year’s theme, “HOHS 5: From Theory to Practice,” the congress’ goal is to continue the advocacy of protecting and promoting the health and safety of the health care workers as they carry out their noble profession of caring for our patients’ health.

The congress will provide learning opportunities for decision makers and movers in all types of health facilities.

Last year, HOHS Congress focused on mobilizing and advancing alliances for healthcare workers. It united the private and public sector in pushing for the policies and programs for the Health and Safety Committee in hospitals and healthcare facilities.

The various relevant OH practices and issues was also discussed by distinguished speakers–international and local experts in their respective fields for health and safety.

The event is also in partnership with the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine – Laguna Chapter.
